2. Scope

This policy explains how we process personal data when you visit billida.ch, use our contact forms, subscribe to updates, or rent products/services.

3. Categories of data we process

• Identification & contact data: name, email, phone, address.

• Customer & contract data: rental items, delivery/pick‑up details, dates, notes you provide.

• Payment & billing data: payment status, invoice details (payment is processed by external providers – see §7).

• Usage & technical data: IP address, device, browser, pages viewed, session duration, approximate location.

• Communication data: emails, messages, support requests.

• Child‑related info (optional): age/weight of child to ensure item suitability and safety (provided by parent/guardian).

4. Purposes & legal bases

We process data to:

• Provide our services (create/manage rentals, deliver/pick up items, customer support). Legal basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and Swiss law.

• Operate and secure the website, prevent abuse/fraud. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

• Communicate with you, respond to inquiries and send service messages. Legal basis: contract performance/legitimate interests.

• Marketing with consent (e.g., newsletters). Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw anytime.

• Legal obligations (e.g., tax, accounting). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c).

5. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions and (optionally) analytics/marketing. You can control non‑essential cookies via our cookie banner and your browser settings. See also §8 regarding Wix.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to comply with legal obligations. Typical periods:

• Contract & billing data: up to 10 years (Swiss accounting/tax).

• Support emails/inquiries: 24 months.

• Marketing data: until you unsubscribe/withdraw consent.

• Technical logs: up to 12 months.

7. Recipients & processors

• Hosting / Website platform: Wix.com Ltd., Nemal Tel Aviv 40, 6350671 Tel Aviv, Israel. The website and forms are hosted by Wix. See Wix privacy: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy

• Email / productivity tools: [e.g., Gmail/Microsoft 365] (if used).

• Payments: [e.g., Stripe / PayPal / Twint] – we do not receive your full card details; providers act as controllers or processors depending on context.

• Delivery partners: [e.g., Swiss Post / local courier] to deliver/pick up rentals.

• Analytics/marketing (optional): [e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel] – used only with your consent.

We conclude data‑processing agreements where required.

8. International transfers

Data may be processed outside Switzerland/EU. We rely on adequate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Wix’s transfer mechanisms. See the provider privacy notices for details.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time.

10. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (e.g., HTTPS, access controls, least‑privilege access).

11. Children’s data

Our services are directed at adults/guardians. Limited child‑related information (e.g., age/weight) may be processed to ensure product suitability and safety when provided by the guardian.

12. Automated decisions

We do not conduct profiling with legal effects or automated decision‑making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

13. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
